Employment Type: Full-Time

About R0GUE:

At R0GUE, we’re contributing to the future of Web3 by delivering cutting-edge blockchain solutions. Our mission is to empower decentralized innovation for clients across the industry. We prioritize quality over speed, value humility, and foster a supportive, collaborative startup environment where exceptional engineering talent can thrive and grow.

Our contributions to the Polkadot ecosystem are both extensive and impactful. At the forefront of our efforts is our flagship project, Pop Network. Complementing this initiative, we have received a grant from the Web3 Foundation's Decentralized Futures Program to develop Pop CLI—a comprehensive developer toolkit for creating, testing and deploying parachains/rollups and ink! smart contracts. Beyond these core initiatives, we are actively collaborating with several high-profile projects within the ecosystem. Other engagements include maintaining Paseo and contributing as members of the ink! Alliance.

Additionally, our consultancy services empower clients to transform their product visions into reality, leveraging our expertise to navigate the intricacies of blockchain development with the Polkadot-SDK.

What We’re Looking For:

We are seeking a talented Frontend Engineer with experience in modern web technologies and a strong interest in Web3 development. Your work will focus on building user-friendly and performant frontends for Pop’s web presence, decentralized applications (dApps), and blockchain-based interfaces. This role is perfect for someone passionate about decentralized technologies, user experience, and frontend performance, who thrives in a dynamic, remote-first startup environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop high-performance, responsive mobile friendly frontends for Pop’s web presence and dApps built on Pop.
  • Collaborate with blockchain engineers to integrate Web3 functionality seamlessly.
  • Build intuitive UI/UX for decentralized applications, tooling and dashboards.
  • Ensure smooth interaction with blockchain networks via Polkadot API.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient TypeScript and React code.
  • Optimize frontend performance and ensure an exceptional user experience.
  • Stay up-to-date with Web3 UX trends, frontend frameworks, and best practices in decentralized app (dApp) development. Including participation in the Polkadot UX Guild.

Requirements:

  • Passion for Web3 ideals, including decentralization and open-source development.
  • UI/UX and design skills, with the ability to create visually appealing, user-friendly, and highly functional interfaces. Experience with design tools like Figma or Sketch.
  • Proficiency in modern frontend frameworks (e.g. React, Next.js, Svelte, or Vue).
  • Experience building dApps with Web3 APIs (e.g. Polkadot-API, Ethers.js, or similar).
  • Ability to contribute to and help build reusable frontend frameworks for websites, tooling UIs, and dApps, ensuring maintainability and scalability.
  • Experience working with and developing SDKs, particularly in TypeScript, for Web3 tooling and integrations.
  • Familiarity with data visualization and working with on-chain data to build interactive charts, dashboards, and insights for developers.
  • Experience working with APIs, preferably in a Web3 setting, with an understanding of backend/frontend integration best practices.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a passion for learning.
  • Comfortable working in a remote, startup environment with distributed teams.
  • A team player with excellent communication skills and a humble, collaborative mindset.

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Experience with WebAssembly, Rust, Polkadot API (PAPI), Turbo.Build.
  • Proficiency in Tailwind and Preline for building modern user interfaces.
  • Familiarity with Polkadot-SDK, Substrate, or other blockchain ecosystems.
  • Background in developing blockchain explorers, staking dashboards, portals, or governance UIs.
  • Contributions to open-source blockchain projects.
